1. AMIQ-SUSB Firmware Version

  This AMIQ-SUSB release contains the following versions:

        Application Code	4.0.0.0  
        Boot Code           	4.0.0.0
        FPGA                 	2.0.1.0

                                                   
 

2. AMIQ-VSN, AMIQ-xSM Compatibility
------------------------------------------------------

  This AMIQ-SUSB release is compatible with the following firmware:

    	AMX5000        	All revisions.
	AMX5010		All revisions.
    	AMX5100        	Basic functionality with all revisions.
			Not all features are supported by older AMX5100 firmware revisions.
			Full Japanese and Korean layout support with version 1.1.6.3 
			or higher only. 
    	AMWorks        	Version 3.0.3.6
     	AMIQ-xSN/-USB	Version 3.0.0.1 (app) 3.0.0.1 (boot) and higher.


  This AMIQ-SUSB release is compatible with the following hardware:

	AMIQ-xSN/-USB 	All hardware revisions for AMIQ-USB and AMIQ-xSN. 



3. Firmware Changes

  AMIQSUSB.avt         	- ALI link communication improved.

			- AMIQ update process secured and improved.
			
			- Improvement in boot-up time

			- Identification process improved:
			  An AMX50xx can detect an AMIQ in boot loader now.

			- Added support for Compose and Kana key LEDs on Sun 
			  keyboards.

			- The sequence to enable the support for the Advanced
			  Sun keys for a PS/2 keyboard has changed.
  			  To enable the support for the Advanced Sun keys you have 
			  to type <CTRL> + <Shift> + <Alt> + <Scroll Lock> at the 
                          same time to enable or disable this mode. While the mode is enabled 
                          the Scroll Lock LED is blinking. 	

			- Added support for Advanced Sun keys using the 
			  <SHIFT><CTRL><ALT><Scroll Lock> key combination to 
			  AMIQ-USB.
			  This functionality was previously only available for the AMIQ-xSN.
			  
			- Support for Japanese keyboard layout.
			
			- Support for Korean keyboard layout.
		
			- Mouse handling improved.			
			
			- VCM timing optimized.
		
			- DDC support included.

  
4. How to upgrade?
--------------------------

  To upgrade the flash in the AMIQ you will need to copy the file AMIQSUSB.avt 
  to a machine running AMWorks rev 3.0.3.6 or higher. 
  Then follow the instructions in AMWorks for downloading the new software. 
  This is also available from this site.

  1.    Download the file "AMIQSUSB.avt" to a drive that is accessible
        by the machine running AMWorks.

  2.    Using the AMWorks software, download the file to all the AMIQ's that
        are to be upgraded. This is done by selecting Admin Tools - software
        Upgrade, selecting the file "AMIQSUSB.avt" and the names of the AMIQs 
        to be upgraded, and then click begin upgrade.

  3.    Each AMIQ will take approximately 9 minutes to update
